3,000 Car Dealers Revolt Against Biden’s Electric Pipe Dream

In a scathing rebuttal to the Biden administration, thousands of car dealers are firing back at the new electric vehicle mandates, claiming that the regulations on tailpipe emissions are cramping their style and draining their ability to create compliant vehicles, all while consumers are hesitant about shelling out big bucks for electric models in the midst of sky-high inflation.

In an epic mic drop moment, a massive 3,000 dealers from all corners of the nation penned a brutally honest letter to President Joe Biden, urging him to ease up on his administration’s demand that the car industry make sure two-thirds of all vehicles on the road are electrified by 2032.

“We’re just small businesses, keeping America running and providing jobs for thousands of hardworking folks,” they wrote. “We care deeply about our customers and the communities we serve, which is why we’re begging you to pump the brakes on these ridiculous regulations mandating battery electric vehicle (BEV) production and distribution.”

The dealers didn’t hold back, bluntly proclaiming that, sure, there are plenty of top-notch electric vehicles out there for consumers to buy, but the demand just ain’t cutting the mustard. In fact, they boldly stated that the supply of unsold electric rides is piling up quicker than a tower of pancakes at a Sunday brunch, despite slashing prices, dishing out manufacturer incentives, and serving up generous government handouts.

And if that wasn’t enough, they flat-out called the electric vehicle mandate a fantasy, arguing that it’s about as realistic as teaching a cat to sing opera. They even took a sly swipe at Biden’s green energy plans and dug at Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s embarrassing trip where his posse of electric cars ran out of juice and cut in line at a charging station, all while climate activists gave him an earful.

To add insult to injury, not even the auto union workers were having any of it, showing their disdain for the out-of-touch mandates and the shuttering of long-standing production plants by staging a strike against the nation’s biggest car makers.

In the end, it seems like the Biden administration’s electric dreams are crashing harder than a ton of bricks. But who knows, maybe one day they’ll figure out how to make those electric cars fly off the lots faster than a hot batch of grandma’s famous apple pie. But until then, it’s looking like they might want to hit the brakes on this whole electric vehicle escapade.
