It was a bonanza of liberal excitement last week as New York Judge Arthur Engoron placed a whopping $364 million fine on former President Donald Trump. The lefties were surely dancing in the streets with glee, but hold onto your MAGA hats because here comes legal eagle Jonathan Turley swooping in to deliver some conservative truth bombs on Fox News.
Turley, the legal hotshot from George Washington University Law School, compared Judge Engoron’s ruling to something out of a horror movie, saying it was like the court wanted to throw Trump into a wood chipper! Talk about drama! And to add insult to injury, Trump, a New York business legend, is now banned from doing business in the very city where he made his mark. Talk about kicking a man when he’s down!
The whole shebang started when New York Attorney General Leticia James accused Trump of inflating his property values to score big bank loans. But hold your horses, folks! Turley pointed out that the banks in question didn’t seem to have any gripes with Trump’s deals. In fact, they were practically lining up to throw money at him! Emails even surfaced showing how Deutsche Bank was singing Trump’s praises, calling him a “whale” and gushing over his real estate connections.
Turley didn’t stop there – oh no! He went on to blast New York’s legal loophole that allows lawsuits without any money actually being lost. So, James just kept inflating that fraud figure like a balloon at a birthday party. What a carnival of legal chaos!
And here’s the real kicker: Turley warned that this big bad ruling could scare away businesses faster than you can say “tax hike.” He saw a mass exodus on the horizon as companies flee the Big Apple for fear of getting caught in the political crossfire. So, way to go, Judge Engoron – you might have just turned New York into a ghost town for businesses. Thank goodness conservatives like Turley are here to shine a light on the madness!
