Accelerationism: A Deadly Threat Unmasked for True Conservatives

There is a dangerous, nihilistic strain of thought called accelerationism that has crawled from academic corners into the sewage of online extremism, and we must call it out without hesitation. This is not intellectual bravery — it is a reckless flirtation with violence and societal collapse that betrays everything patriotic conservatives stand for.

Accelerationism began as an abstract critique about speeding up historical forces, discussed by theorists across the spectrum, but its meaning has been twisted into several poisonous strains. What started as academic debate has splintered into left-wing techno-utopianism on one side and violent right-wing nihilism on the other, making the term dangerously slippery.

Worse, the violent variant of accelerationism has been explicitly embraced by white supremacists and neo-fascist cells who believe chaos is the ladder to their utopia — a belief that has inspired plots, attacks, and the spread of manuals for terror. These groups don’t argue in good faith; they strategize mass murder and infrastructure sabotage to break the country apart.

We have seen the catastrophic real-world consequences of this ideology: mass shooters and terror cells have cited accelerationist manifestos and networked through encrypted channels to plan violence, showing that this is not mere theory but a live security threat. Any movement that traffics in martyrizing killers and pushing for societal collapse is an enemy of innocent Americans and must be treated as such.

That said, some on the online right have foolishly flirted with accelerationist talk as a shortcut to change, as if burning the house down will let them rebuild it on their terms. Let me be blunt: deliberate destabilization is delusional and un-American — it hands our enemies a victory and hands ordinary families more danger, not freedom.

Conservatives who love country and freedom should oppose accelerationism vigorously, not wink at it. Our battle is to win hearts, votes, and policy through the Constitution, the courts, and civic institutions — not to manufacture chaos that could swallow everything we cherish for good.

If your movement tolerates or romanticizes calls for collapse, you are doing the left’s work for them: convincing undecided Americans that our side has become a menace rather than a remedy. We must police our own ranks, expose the dangerous actors, and insist that platforms and law enforcement treat violent accelerationist networks as the public-safety threats they are.

Patriotism means protecting the Republic we inherited and repairing its flaws without torching the foundations. Stand firm for law and order, reject nihilism, and build a stronger, freer America through courage, conviction, and the ballot box — not through fake heroics that end in rubble and regret.
