Ad Millions Can’t Save Sinking Ship: Biden’s Poll Plunge!

President Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee have been pouring millions of dollars into television advertisements in an effort to polish the president’s tarnished image. Despite these efforts, polling for the president has remained stubbornly unfavorable. According to Politico, Biden and the DNC have spent a staggering $7 million on positive TV ads this year, while only allocating less than $100,000 for TV messaging aimed at attacking former President Donald Trump. It seems like their strategy of sticking to the high road isn’t paying off.

A Gallup poll released on October 26 revealed that Biden’s approval rating had slipped four points to just 37%, which is on par with his record low. Adding insult to injury, a recent New York Times/Siena College poll released on November 5 found that Trump was actually polling ahead of Biden in five out of six swing states. If these poll numbers are accurate and the election were held today, Trump would likely snatch around 300 electoral votes. Ouch!

What’s more, the $7 million figure that was reported doesn’t even include the digital ads or Spanish language ads that Biden’s camp has been running to attack Republicans. So while the TV ads may be failing to make a dent in public opinion, you can bet Biden’s team is keeping busy online and on Spanish-speaking channels, trying to claw back some lost ground.

Biden’s TV ads have been focusing on his supposed bipartisanship, blue collar background, and job creation. However, it seems that all those efforts of explaining and highlighting his accomplishments have fallen flat. As an anonymous Biden donor lamented to Politico, “Well, we spent all this time trying to explain all the good things he did, the bipartisan stuff he did, and it hasn’t boosted his numbers. So maybe we ought to go to plan B at this point.”

But don’t expect the Biden campaign to change their advertising strategy anytime soon, according to a spokesperson for Biden. They seem to be doubling down on their current approach, despite the lackluster results. It’s almost like they’re expecting a different outcome by doing the same thing over and over again. Classic definition of insanity, right?

While Biden may be struggling to win over the hearts and minds of the American people, there is one area where he’s outperforming Trump: fundraising. According to The Wall Street Journal, Biden has raked in more cash than the former president in both the second and third quarters of 2023. In the second quarter, Biden raised a whopping $72 million, while Trump lagged behind with a mere $35 million. And in the third quarter, Biden continued to show his fundraising prowess by bringing in $71 million compared to Trump’s $45.5 million. It seems like money talks, even if the public opinion doesn’t.

As of now, the Trump and Biden campaigns have remained tight-lipped and did not respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation. But let’s be honest, we all know they’re both just trying to spin the narrative in their favor. It’s all part of the political game, folks.
