Admiral Frank Bradley recently testified before Congress, clarifying a controversial military strike on a drug-smuggling vessel. Some Democrats are attempting to paint this operation as a war crime, while they ignore the underlying issues of illegal drugs flowing into our nation from Venezuela. But let’s be clear: it is our military’s duty to protect American lives and quell threats, whether they’re on the battlefield or in international waters.
Bradley stated that there was no “kill them all” order from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, insisting that the command was specific and measured. Yet, this seems to trigger an uptick in outrage from the left. They are more concerned about the legalities and optics of military actions than about the threats posed by these drug traffickers who endanger our communities. The hypocrisy is nauseating. While they demand all sorts of legal niceties, they ignore the real impact of drugs that devastate families and communities across America.

Those who criticize this operation may soon find themselves on the wrong side of history. Congress has become a breeding ground for hand-wringing lawmakers who’d rather talk than take action. When push comes to shove, these same Democrats would rather stifle our military than confront the dangers posed by hostile nations. They would rather coddle criminals than support our troops who are risking their lives to protect us.
Senator Tom Cotton’s defense of the operation strikes the right chord. The military is honoring its commitment to safeguard American interests, while naysayers are more interested in political points than the safety of our citizens. The idea that our military should refrain from aggressive action against drug cartels is an insult to every American family affected by the drug crisis. These vessels aren’t just boats—they’re lifelines for narco-terrorists, and the sooner we cut those lifelines, the better.
In this era of globalist distractions and Democrat incompetence, we must stand firm against threats, whether foreign or domestic. The power of our military should not waver in the face of political correctness. If we don’t take decisive action against those who threaten our way of life, we are complicit in allowing those threats to destroy our nation. Is that the legacy we want to leave for future generations? Absolutely not. It’s time to prioritize the safety of our communities over the misguided empathy for criminals.
