Alito Exposes Congress Overreach, Durbin’s Fury Ignites – Veep Harris, Where Art Thou?

Due to the comments made by Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito about the overreaching power of Congress in regulating the court, the Democrats were not pleased with him. Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, took issue with Alito and reminded him that he was not the 101st senator. Kamala Harris, the vice president, has been pushing an agenda that is radical, and she is not the least bit concerned with the judicial branch's affairs.

Curt Levey, the president and constitutional law attorney for the Committee for Justice, responded to Durbin's outburst. He noted that the senator is not a member of the Supreme Court's 10th group, and that the Committee's ethics bill is unwelcome and unwise. It's time somebody set him straight.

Senator Richard Durbin criticized Justice Alito on Twitter. According to him, the court has been refusing to help with the Senate Judiciary Committee's efforts to enact ethics reforms. It's time for the senator to understand that the Supreme Court is an independent and equal branch of the Constitution.

According to Durbin, the Committee has the power to regulate ethical conduct within the judiciary branch. However, he failed to note that the justices already follow a statement of ethics. He then claimed that the court was refusing to help with the committee's efforts to enact reforms. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court doesn't answer to the senator.

Despite the lack of support from Republicans, the bill by Durbin, which would require the Supreme Court to adopt ethics reforms, was still passed out of the Judiciary Committee. It's clear that the bill is a partisan attempt to influence the court. With no chance of getting the 60 votes needed to pass, the Democrats are just using this as an empty gesture.

Despite his criticism of the court, Senator Richard Durbin of Illinois still refuses to stop his obsession with the ethics in the judiciary. He constantly repeats his claims on Twitter, and it's clear that he believes that he can gain power over the judiciary by repeating himself. It's time for him to stop playing politics with the Supreme Court. The court is an important part of our democracy, and it should not be used as a tool for political games.
