Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, commonly known as AOC, has once again found herself in the spotlight for her lack of knowledge and intelligence. Some have even gone so far as to label her as one of the least informed members of Congress. There is no denying that her actions and words often leave much to be desired when it comes to critical thinking and understanding of complex issues.

On the other end of the spectrum, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has also been criticized for her intelligence, with some going as far as dubbing her as the “dumbest” member of Congress. While the debate rages on about who holds this title, it is clear that both AOC and Greene have had their fair share of blunders and missteps during their time in office.
Recently, Greene and Rep. Jasmine Crockett clashed during a House Oversight Committee hearing, with Greene veering off course from the intended agenda of the meeting. Instead of focusing on the matter at hand regarding contempt proceedings against Attorney General Merrick Garland, Greene chose to pursue her own line of inquiry, sparking tensions within the committee.
Crockett, rightfully perturbed by Greene’s diversion, attempted to steer the conversation back on track, only to be met with unwarranted comments about her appearance from Greene. The exchange quickly escalated into a heated exchange, showcasing the lack of decorum and professionalism in some members of Congress.
It is evident that political theatrics and personal attacks have no place in productive discussions within the government. Instead of engaging in meaningful debates and working towards solutions, some representatives choose to resort to insults and distractions, ultimately hindering the progress that could be made for the American people.
Incidents like these serve as a stark reminder of the importance of upholding respect, professionalism, and diligence in government proceedings. While disagreements are inevitable in politics, it is crucial that members of Congress conduct themselves with dignity and focus on the issues that truly matter to the constituents they serve.
