AOC Mimics Griswold-Level Disaster, Spreads Chaos Over Law Enforcement

The comparison of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to Clark Griswold’s Christmas disaster isn’t just clever—it’s spot on. Just as Griswold expected a shiny Christmas bonus only to receive a subscription to the “Jelly of the Month Club,” America feels an equal level of disappointment every time AOC opens her mouth. Instead of delivering bonuses to constituents, she’s delivering a double dose of political nonsense that just keeps on giving, leaving Americans questioning what they did to deserve such a gift.

Recently, Ocasio-Cortez has found herself in the justifiable crosshairs of criticism after suggesting that illegal immigrants could resist law enforcement officials. During a webinar, which she termed “Know Your Rights,” she advised attendees that in the event of a raid, they could create enough ‘friction’ to slow down authorities. This advice might not be illegal, but it’s dangerously irresponsible and certainly not what anyone expects from a person in Congress. The irony of advocating for confusion and obstruction while preaching about rights isn’t lost on those who still believe that laws exist for a reason.

Tom Homan, the former border czar under the Trump administration, took issue with AOC’s remarks. He put forward the reasonable inquiry of whether she crossed legal lines that could lead to legal consequences, asking if her rhetoric creates an impediment to law enforcement efforts. The gall of AOC to trivialize law enforcement and mock those who uphold it shouldn’t come as a surprise, but it would be nice if she could attempt to engage in actual policy discussion instead of throwing around sarcastic quips like a child in a schoolyard.

As AOC took to social media, utilizing capital letters to display her self-satisfied sarcasm, she remarked that Homan should pick up a copy of the Constitution. This is the same Constitution she seems to completely misunderstand when it comes to law-breaking. Claiming that her advice to resist arrest is somehow protected under the First Amendment would require her to confront the fact that those advocating for legal resistance are as protected as those advocating for law enforcement. You can’t claim freedom of speech while simultaneously telling people to disregard the laws of the land.

In a world where the antics of AOC are oddly entertaining, the punchline is that the serious repercussions might just catch up to her—and soon. While Homan’s inquiries may suggest that this isn’t going to lead to significant legal backlash, it’s undoubtedly entertaining to watch how AOC spins on this web of her own making. The antics may continue, but for those following the rules, there’s nothing amusing about promoting lawlessness under the guise of protecting rights. For conservatives, it’s all just part of the ongoing comedy show that is AOC, who, at this point, is as predictable as holiday re-runs.
