When it comes to flawed arguments, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is leading the pack. While she may not be as pro-terrorist as some of her colleagues, she still manages to twist herself into knots trying to appease both sides. In a recent interview with CNN’s Abby Phillip, Ocasio-Cortez’s ceasefire argument fell apart right before our eyes.
First, Ocasio-Cortez spread a major lie about Israel’s use of white phosphorus, claiming it was just smoke bombs. But the truth is, Israel has the right to defend itself against brutal terror attacks from Hamas. Let’s not forget that over 1,200 innocent men, women, and children have been murdered by these terrorists. Israel has every right to respond and wipe out this terrorist group once and for all.
But Ocasio-Cortez seems to be more concerned with the supposed “siege conditions” in Gaza, making the argument that Israel’s response is just collective punishment. Well, let me tell you something, keeping Hamas as a political and military force is untenable. They are a terrorist organization responsible for countless attacks on innocent civilians. It’s time for them to be held accountable.
It’s clear that Ocasio-Cortez is simply trying to hold back Israel’s response, which ultimately benefits the terrorists. Her half-baked arguments do nothing but muddy the waters and distract from the core issue at hand. This is not some complicated political struggle, it’s a military operation. And it’s about time that Israel takes action to protect its citizens.
The far-left likes to hide behind excuses and shield their pro-Hamas commentaries with claims of complexity and nuance. But the truth is, Israel was attacked and innocent lives were lost. It’s time to put an end to this and eliminate the threat of terrorism from Israel’s borders.
So let’s not get caught up in the tangled web of Ocasio-Cortez’s flawed arguments. The facts are clear: Israel has the right to defend itself, and it’s about time they take decisive action. The larger Israeli-Palestinian issue can be addressed another time, but for now, it’s time to eliminate the terrorists and ensure the safety of Israel’s citizens.
