Betting Odds Favor Trump in 2024 Election, Lead Biden and Others

As the 2024 presidential election draws closer, the predictions for who will win are already starting to come in. One online betting platform, Polymarket, says that former President Donald Trump has a 56 percent chance of winning, while President Joe Biden only has a 37 percent chance.

This betting platform allows users to place bets on different events happening around the world, using cryptocurrency. According to the platform, only a few other individuals have any real chance of winning the election: former first lady Michelle Obama with 4 percent, Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. with 2 percent, and Vice President Kamala Harris with 1 percent.

The odds for Trump winning the election are thought to be so high that bettors have to wager 57 cents just to win $1, while betting on Biden only requires 37 cents to win $1. This means that a majority of bettors are predicting a Trump victory.

Interestingly, the same platform also showed a 63 percent chance of a guilty verdict in Trump’s ongoing hush-money trial, down from 87 percent in late April. However, despite these odds, bettors are still betting on Trump to win the election.

In addition to the betting odds, recent polling averages show Trump leading Biden by a slim margin. When other candidates like Kennedy are added to the mix, Trump’s lead increases. State-by-state polls also show Trump leading in several key states that could determine the outcome of the election.

Furthermore, even Democratic strongholds like New Hampshire and Minnesota have shown a shift in favor of Trump. The same is true for states like New Jersey and New York, where Trump has held large rallies and narrowed the gap between him and Biden.

Bettors are also taking into account the actions of the establishment and its treatment of Trump and his supporters, expecting a guilty verdict in Trump’s ongoing trial. This suggests that many Americans have become more aware of what they see as oppressive actions by the Biden administration.

The betting odds and polling data paint a picture of a potential Trump victory in the 2024 election, as bettors take stock of the current political climate and anticipate how the public may respond to the ongoing trial.
