Biden 2024 Bid Flounders: Scranton’s Cold Shoulder Signals Trouble Ahead

President Joe Biden’s 2024 reelection campaign is already off to a rocky start, especially in his hometown of Scranton, Delaware, where residents are less than thrilled about the idea of another four years of Biden in the White House. This lack of enthusiasm is just a small part of a bigger problem for Biden, as recent polling shows his popularity is tanking faster than a lead balloon.

According to those folks at Fox News, a whopping 54 percent of Democrat primary voters are looking for an alternative to Biden. Ouch! And Pew Research reports that Biden’s approval rating has sunk to a dismal 33 percent, the lowest it’s been since he took office. Even The Wall Street Journal chimed in, saying only 23 percent of folks are on board with Biden’s policies. Even the youngins don’t seem to be feeling the Biden love, as The New York Times says Biden is trailing Donald Trump in approval rating among voters aged 18-29. Double ouch!

But what’s got the folks in Scranton so down on ol’ Joe? Well, it seems like they’re not too pleased about Hunter Biden’s legal troubles. One local, Nick Petula, who voted for Biden three years ago, told The Guardian that he’s lost his passion and is feeling discouraged by all the drama surrounding Hunter. Then there’s Brandon DeManincor, who’s studying art therapy at Marywood University, and he’s just plain frustrated that he might have to stick with Biden for the Democratic nominee in 2024.

Even former Biden supporter, Mike Boratyn, a restaurant worker, is unsure if he’ll cast his vote in 2024, citing concerns about Biden’s lack of accomplishments during his first three years in office. He thought Biden would be inspiring, but now he’s feeling let down and thinks Biden was just the “lesser of two evils.”

But it’s not just Scranton where Biden’s losing support. Even Democrats are jumping ship, with many worried about Biden’s age and his ability to keep up with the demands of the presidency. The Breakfast Club host Charlamagne tha God said it straight – Biden’s not getting any younger, and he’s not getting any more popular. And let’s face it, he’s not getting a new running mate either, so maybe it’s time for him to pass the torch.

Former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine echoed those sentiments, likening Biden to a well-meaning grandpa who’s just not cut out to run the family business anymore. So, it looks like the Democrats are in a bit of a pickle when it comes to their 2024 prospects, and the clock is ticking for Biden to make a decision about his future in the Oval Office. Tick tock, Mr. President.
