As if on cue, recent reports reveal the Biden administration’s plan to scuttle President Trump’s border wall efforts, all while racing against the clock to auction off unused wall materials. One can only imagine the thought process behind this decision: why finish a project designed to protect citizens when you can cash in on the leftover supplies? This clever strategy has been demonstrated in Tucson, Arizona, where video footage captures trucks carrying away segments of border wall, presumably bound for some government auction where the leftovers of good intentions are sold to the highest bidder. Nothing like a yard sale for national security.

The visuals of the wall being dismantled are reminiscent of a garage clearing gone horribly wrong. The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent who leaked this video suggests that some ambitious folks are hauling away nearly half a mile of wall per day. What a way to welcome Biden’s tenure—by not only stifling any plans for construction but also ensuring leftover infrastructure is whisked away before Christmas. Santa won’t be coming to town with a sleigh full of wall sections; instead, he’ll have to bid on what’s left at a government surplus auction.
There’s even a government contractor on the scene, DP Trucking LLC, busy transporting wall sections northward to Pinal Airpark in Marana, Arizona, for what can only be described as a curious case of landfill logistics. The owner of the company acknowledged the transportation, but apparently was sworn to secrecy about his own business operations, leaving Americans wondering whom to thank for this show of generosity with taxpayer-funded resources.
The unfortunate irony in this situation cannot be lost on anyone paying attention. Just as Trump prepares to ramp up efforts to complete the border wall—much to the relief of a solid majority of Americans—the Biden administration is laboring to throw a wrench in this process. In the end, it might just lead to one more reason for conservatives to rally around the fence posts, reminding everyone that no matter what, America still deserves its wall.
