President Joe Biden is planning to create a national monument to honor Emmett Till, a 14-year-old black boy who was tragically murdered in 1955 for allegedly flirting with a white woman. It’s great to see President Biden taking steps to recognize the important history of civil rights in our country. This monument will serve as a reminder of the injustices faced by African Americans and the need to continue fighting for equality.

The monument will be located at three different sites. The first site is Graball Landing in Mississippi, where Till’s body was found.
