A question that unavoidably comes to mind is: where exactly is Joe Biden? The current scene depicts him at Rehoboth Beach, lounging as if he’s just won the lottery. It’s hardly surprising; considering the ongoing chaos in Washington, relaxation seems to be his top priority. The latest “White House Report Card” from The Washington Examiner highlights just how out of touch this administration has become, with grades that shed light on the disaster unfolding under Biden’s leadership.
In this recent evaluation from conservative analyst Jed Babbin and Democrat pollster John Zogby, Biden receives a pitiful “F” from Babbin. The report details numerous blunders of the Biden-Harris team, including a staggering $239 million sent to the Taliban while terrorists pour through our southern border unchecked. Not to mention, the stock market remains volatile despite Biden’s ludicrous claim of having “cured” the economy. The reflection of just how disconnected the administration is can’t be understated, especially when it comes to Nancy Pelosi’s absurd suggestion that Biden deserves a spot on Mount Rushmore. One can only chuckle at the notion — perhaps a more appropriate spot for him would be a monument for the least effective leaders in American history, alongside the likes of Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama.
Zogby, on the other hand, offers Biden a curious “B”, a downgrade from his previous assessment. The rationale appears to hinge on lower unemployment claims and a temporary stabilization of the stock market, somehow ignoring the rampant issues simmering around him. Among these, Hezbollah seems ready to escalate violence against Israel, emboldened by a U.S. administration that can’t seem to draw a coherent foreign policy line. Amid all this turmoil, Biden remains conveniently hidden from view, shielding himself from the criticisms about his age and mental capabilities.
The irony here is thick; Zogby’s underlying thesis is that the absence of Biden from the forefront of public discourse could be interpreted as a positive. He seems to insinuate that the quietude is preferable to the cacophony of incompetence that parades through the Oval Office. Judging from the report card, Biden’s brief strolls into the public eye — mostly staged photo ops — earn him a mercifully generous grade. Yet, this “B” seems to stem more from lowered expectations than from any genuine accomplishment or leadership demonstrated by the president.

The implications of this evaluation are alarming. It raises the question of who, if anyone, is truly at the helm. With Biden off enjoying beach days, unbothered by the myriad crises besieging the nation, there’s uncertainty surrounding who is really steering the ship. It’s a troubling thought that many high-profile Democrats appear perfectly content with Biden’s absence from the frontline of leadership. The enduring silence raises more questions than answers about the direction of their party, and perhaps, the future of the nation.
In sum, Biden’s leisurely getaway juxtaposed against a backdrop of national and international chaos might be the perfect metaphor for this administration. With lackluster performance ratings and a president who seems to be enjoying the perks of his title while delegating responsibility, one cannot help but question the efficacy of this administration’s leadership, or the motives of the party backing such a fractured regime.
