While the White House has faced pressure to support a ceasefire in Israel, President Biden and National Security Council spokesman John Kirby have expressed concerns that it would only benefit Hamas. They believe that the Israel Defense Forces are making every effort to minimize civilian casualties in Gaza. It is admirable to see the president taking decisive action and leveraging his influence to help those in need. This is a clear demonstration of American leadership on the global stage.
