Biden Bungle: More Shadows Than Support for Jean-Pierre!

President Joe Biden, in his usual fashion of undermining those around him, made a comment to newly appointed White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre that fell flat, according to sources. Biden allegedly attempted to comfort Jean-Pierre by assuring her that White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby would be there to help. But let’s be honest, having Kirby watching over her every move is hardly a comfort.

It’s no secret that tensions have been rising between Kirby and Jean-Pierre as they share the podium more frequently. Kirby seems to be hogging the spotlight and taking more questions during briefings, leaving Jean-Pierre in his shadow. The president seems to favor Kirby’s presence and has even requested him to join him on various trips.

Kirby, not one to shy away from ambition, has expressed his interest in becoming the press secretary himself. Clearly, he is not content with being a mere spokesperson. Jean-Pierre, on the other hand, has shown her loyalty by stating that she would stay through the election if the president wants her to. Talk about dedication!

But let’s get back to Biden’s comment. “You’ll have an admiral looking over your shoulder.” What a way to inspire confidence, Mr. President! It’s no wonder the comment fell flat. Who wants to be constantly scrutinized and overshadowed by someone else? Jean-Pierre deserves to be trusted and supported by the president, not constantly reminded that she has a watchdog breathing down her neck.

Of course, the White House spokesperson denied the interaction ever took place. But we all know that the truth is often conveniently brushed aside in this administration. Perhaps it’s time for Biden to take a step back and let Jean-Pierre shine. After all, a little trust and encouragement can go a long way.
