President Joe Biden traveled to Philadelphia on Labor Day to participate in the annual Tri-State Labor Day Parade and promote his pro-union agenda. As the parade, hosted by the AFL-CIO, kicked off, Biden emphasized the importance of unions and urged Congress to pass the PRO Act to protect workers’ rights.

In classic Biden fashion, he also took a jab at the previous administration, highlighting the alleged failures of former President Donald Trump when it came to infrastructure development. Biden emphasized his commitment to rebuilding America’s infrastructure and creating jobs.
The president proudly touted his economic policies, which he referred to as “Bidenomics.” He claimed that his approach to the economy is replacing “trickle-down economics” and is working to benefit the middle class and working families. With his sights set on reelection, Biden showcased his record as a pro-union president and received endorsements from various unions.
It’s no surprise that Biden focused on himself and his policies rather than directly attacking Trump during his speech. However, he couldn’t resist reminding the crowd of America’s decline in infrastructure rankings during the previous administration, suggesting that Trump didn’t accomplish much during his tenure.
Overall, Biden exuded optimism about America’s future and emphasized the potential for progress if the country works together. This message aligns with his desire to unify the nation and maintain his position as the leader of the Democratic Party. While his speech may have lacked substance and concrete plans, it certainly portrayed him as a champion for unions and the middle class.
Biden’s speech sounded like typical political grandstanding. While he claimed to be working for the American people, his policies have proven to be more harmful than helpful. From massive government spending to burdensome regulations, Biden’s approach to the economy is a recipe for disaster.
