President Biden faced heavy criticism for a questionable move on social media. On the same day that his biggest political rival was apprehended in Fulton County, Georgia, Biden brazenly posted a fundraising tweet. The tweet read, “Apropos of nothing, I think today’s a great day to give to my campaign.” Alongside the tweet was a link to his Act Blue donation page, where supporters are urged to “donate…to fight back against MAGA Republicans.”
Clearly, Biden had no qualms about capitalizing on the misfortune of others. The timing of his tweet did not go unnoticed by astute observers. It seems that instead of exuding compassion for his political opponent’s arrest, Biden saw it as a prime opportunity to boost his campaign coffers. But this shameless display of opportunism did not sit well with the public, especially those who value decency and fairness in politics.
In contrast to Biden’s self-centered actions, President Trump responded to the news of his arrest with dignity. Speaking to reporters, Trump expressed his disappointment and called it a “very sad day for America.” He vehemently denied any wrongdoing, proclaiming that “we did nothing wrong.”
The disparity in character displayed by these two leaders is striking. While Trump maintained his innocence and showed respect for the integrity of the justice system, Biden shamelessly seized the moment for personal gain. This incident only confirms what many conservatives have suspected all along: Biden’s priorities lie not in serving the American people, but in furthering his own political agenda.
