What’s the deal with the WNBA? Honestly, it’s not worth watching, even if you promised to feed me a plate of my own hand. But somehow, the whole Brittney Griner drug saga in Russia and Biden’s sluggish effort to rescue her have managed to give the league more attention than it’s ever seen before. And let me tell you, it’s not because of their incredible skills on the court. No, no, no. Griner was apparently singing a different tune when it came to the National Anthem after spending time in a Russian prison. But let’s not forget that she was one of those who wanted to remove it from all athletic events.

Now, after getting released, some WNBA folks have the audacity to complain about the low attendance in their arenas. Well, here’s a news flash: the reason the seats are empty is that the league is just plain awful. But hey, they can keep chirping all they want. Take Natasha Cloud from the Washington Mystics, for example. She had something not-so-nice to say about the good ol’ USA following the Supreme Court’s ruling on affirmative action. She called America “trash” and claimed that we continue to oppress marginalized groups.
Our country is trash in so many ways and instead of using our resources to make it better we continue to oppress Marginalized groups that we have targeted since the beginning of times.
Black/brown communities& LGBTQ+ man we are too powerful to still be attacking issues separate

Now, let’s not waste too much time on Ms. Cloud’s political opinions. It’s not just the WNBA that has these so-called social justice warriors. The NBA has plenty of them too, thinking they can speak out about anything and everything. Well, sorry folks, but politics should stay off the court. Just focus on the game, like Michael Jordan used to do. He knew that keeping your mind on one thing at a time was the way to go. No distractions, just basketball.
Oh, and before I forget, Happy Independence Day, everyone! A day to celebrate the freedom and greatness of this country, despite what the detractors might say. Enjoy the fireworks, the barbecues, and remember the values that make America truly exceptional. We may have our flaws, but we are far from “trash.” So, let’s set aside the politics and come together to celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave. God bless America!
