President Joe Biden’s popularity is hitting rock bottom, according to a recent poll. His approval rating stands at a dismal 38.7 percent, making it the lowest among all presidents since 1956 at this point in their presidency. This could spell trouble for Biden’s chances of getting reelected in 2024, as historically, presidents with such low ratings in their thirteenth quarter have struggled to secure a second term.
Looking at past presidents, those who were successfully reelected had approval ratings ranging from 51 to 73 percent at this stage. Unfortunately for Biden, his numbers are far below this threshold. Factors such as the Israel-Hamas conflict, border crisis, rising inflation, and a volatile stock market are contributing to the negative perceptions of his administration.

Despite efforts to boost his image, like the State of the Union address, Biden’s favorability remains stagnant around 40 percent. This lack of improvement is concerning, especially with the upcoming election looming. The numbers don’t lie, and they indicate that Biden is in a precarious position for a potential reelection bid in 2024.
This downward trend in Biden’s popularity highlights the challenges he is facing as president. It underscores the importance of strong leadership and effective policies in maintaining public support.
