Uh-oh, folks, it’s official. President Joe Biden, the 81-year-old leader of the free world, has clinched the title for the worst net approval rating in history at this point in his presidency. We’re talking a whopping 1,080 days into his tenure, and the numbers don’t lie. According to some fancy schmancy polling by FiveThirtyEight, Sleepy Joe’s popularity is plummeting faster than a lead balloon. This certainly doesn’t bode well for ol’ Joe as the next presidential election looms just ten months away.

Biden’s net approval rating currently sits at a dismal -17.2 points. That’s even worse than the previous president, Donald J. Trump, at -11.8 points. I mean, yikes! When compared to some of the more popular commanders-in-chief at this point in their presidencies, like Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, Biden’s numbers are lower than a snake’s belly in a wagon rut.
Biden’s approval rating is stuck in the mid-thirties, while his disapproval rating is sky-high in the mid-fifties. Ouch. It’s safe to say that Uncle Joe’s popularity never quite recovered after that whole Afghanistan mess in 2021. Throw in some sky-high inflation, low consumer sentiment, and those pesky coronavirus mandates, and it’s no wonder folks aren’t exactly singing his praises.
As Biden tries to claw his way back from this popularity pit, he’s gonna need to make some serious waves to win back the hearts of the American people. If he can’t turn things around in a hurry, there’s already chatter about the Democratic Party needing to find a new frontrunner for the 2024 election.
