The U.S. House of Representatives has taken a bold step towards holding President Joe Biden responsible for his negligence on the U.S.-Mexico border. After Republican U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado filed articles of impeachment against Biden that called attention to his failure to keep Americans safe from the influx of deadly fentanyl and criminal activity, as well as his inability to remedy the tensile immigration system, the House voted to send the articles of impeachment to the House Judiciary and Homeland Security committees for review.
Big win today as for the first time in 24 years, a House Republican majority voted to begin impeachment proceedings against a current president.

While some White House spokespeople decried the legislation as “baseless political stunts,” and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rejected the proposal, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy of California succeeded in sending the matter to committee. McCarthy argued that Boebert’s articles should be properly debated and analyzed in committee before being put before the American people for a vote.
This is a sign of great leadership from the Republican lawmaker and a clarion call to all Americans that the consequences of President Biden’s ineptitude and lack of leadership for the crisis at the southern border cannot be ignored. The Republican Party will not let these sorts of crimes against the American people go unpunished.
