Biden Plans Supreme Court Overhaul, Targets Term Limits and Ethics Code

Joe Biden is at it again, and this time, he’s gunning for the Supreme Court. To stop any rulings liberals might not fancy, he’s concocting a plan to impose term limits and whip up an ethics code. Apparently, this new set of rules would be enforced by an outside agency—a move straight out of the playbook of control-hungry leftists.

The media is whispering about a possible constitutional amendment Biden might pitch. This would do away with the broad immunity for presidents—a rule the Supreme Court upheld, which, not surprisingly, ruffled a few feathers in the liberal camp. After the court said presidents get immunity for their official acts, Biden threw a tantrum, claiming this disrupted long-standing legal norms. Of course, this sentiment bubbled up due to implications for federal cases against former President Donald Trump, the left’s perpetual bogeyman.

Over the weekend, Biden had a cozy Zoom chit-chat with the Congressional Progressive Caucus where he begged for help to ram through his Supreme Court overhaul. He revealed that he’d been conspiring with constitutional scholars for a few months, seeking strategies to erode the independence of America’s highest court.

Trump, ever vocal, blasted Biden’s scheme, calling it an outright attack on the sanctity of the Supreme Court. He didn’t mince words, alleging that this desperate maneuver is the Left’s latest attempt to interfere in the presidential election and dismantle the justice system. Trump’s straightforwardly patriotic call to action was a rallying cry to fight for the fair and independent courts that underpin American democracy.

Meanwhile, even some liberal commentators aren’t too jazzed about Biden’s ploy. NBC analyst Chuck Todd pointed out Biden’s desperation, hinting that the president’s biggest supporters now are the progressives demanding more left-leaning policies. Todd noted that swing district politicians are looking to sideline Biden, fearing his radical plans might cost them their seats.

As expected, Biden’s fantasy of revamping the court will likely face massive roadblocks. Even if his plan somehow slinks its way through Congress, the current conservative-majority Supreme Court could easily squash it on constitutional grounds. This grasping-at-straws legislation needs 60 votes in the Senate, a laughable target given the Democratic party’s slim majority.

Oh, and let’s not forget Harvard Law’s Lawrence Tribe, who’s regularly brought on to sprinkle a bit of academic legitimacy on Biden’s whims. Tribe lamented that the conservative majority court is pulling America towards an abyss by assuming ultimate power. Newsflash, professor: It’s called checks and balances.

In their desperate crusade to refashion the Supreme Court in a liberal mold, Biden and his cronies reveal their true colors. They’re not about justice, fairness, or constitutional integrity—they’re about control, pure and simple. Conservatives are more than ready to counter this latest liberal escapade, standing firm to protect the bedrock principles upon which America was founded.
