Biden Plays History Card to Mask Policy Flops at Valley Forge

President Joe Biden, in an effort to distract from his numerous policy failures, is planning to give a speech near the historic Valley Forge, where the Revolutionary War took place. The president’s team sees this as an opportunity to use the January 6 protest as a smokescreen to cover up the chaos of his presidency, including the record-high invasion at the southern border, the soaring cost of living, the growing instability in Ukraine and the Middle East, the Draconian pandemic mandates, and the botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Biden’s decision to speak at Valley Forge is no coincidence, as his team claims it represented George Washington’s “ascent to power” during a significant turning point in the Revolutionary War. In a bold move, Biden is trying to draw a parallel between Washington and himself, suggesting that Trump’s refusal to concede the 2020 election and his support of January 6 protests amounted to an insurrection.

Critics argue that Biden is desperately trying to rewrite history by infusing himself into the legacy of George Washington. This move is seen as a transparent attempt to shift attention away from his low approval ratings and the mounting discontent within his own party. Reports indicate that only 23 percent of voters believe Biden’s policies have actually helped them.

But Biden isn’t stopping there. In an overt bid to rally the black vote ahead of the November election, Biden plans to make another speech in Charleston, at one of the oldest black churches in the South. By choosing this location, Biden strategically aims to leverage the tragic shooting of nine parishioners by a white supremacist in 2015 to bolster his political standing.

It’s clear that Biden’s team is acutely aware of his diminishing support among nonwhite voters, as his standing with the Democratic party continues to weaken. The president’s decision to prioritize public appearances in historically significant and emotionally charged locations is a calculated move, signaling his campaign’s recognition of the urgent need to regain support from various groups.

As Biden attempts to carve out a narrative that casts him in a more favorable light, it remains to be seen whether his strategic maneuvers will be enough to counteract his administration’s mounting problems.
