The biased and liberal-leaning New York Times has come under fire once again, this time from one of its own reporters. The White House may be feeling betrayed as a Times contributor, Zolan Kanno-Youngs, publicly criticized President Joe Biden for only granting interviews to friendly outlets. This comes as a stark contrast to former President Donald Trump, who was always eager to engage with the media.
During a panel discussion at the 2023 Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, Kanno-Youngs voiced his discontent with Biden’s lack of transparency in his media interactions. While he acknowledged that the Biden administration holds daily press briefings, something that was not a priority under Trump, he pointed out that the White House has a “different measure” of transparency.
Kanno-Youngs highlighted the fact that Biden has only done two print media interviews so far, preferring to speak with “friendly talk show hosts” and rely on social media to get his message across. This raises concerns about the president avoiding tough questions and creating a void of information that could be filled with assumptions. The reporter emphasized the value of holding the president accountable by putting him up against reporters from different outlets.
Fox News also noted that Biden’s recent interviews have been noticeably lacking in uncomfortable topics. Whether this is a deliberate strategy by the White House or an indication of the president’s cognitive limitations, it further raises doubts about Biden’s ability to stay on message and think on his feet.
Once again, we see the liberal bias at The New York Times, where even their own reporters are calling out the Biden administration. It is clear that Biden is more interested in shaping his own narrative than being held accountable by the press. This kind of behavior only reinforces the conservative belief that the mainstream media is actively working to protect and promote Biden’s agenda.
