President Joe Biden’s latest announcement has left no doubt that he and his presidential campaign are desperate for support. In a clear attempt to cater to the cries and complaints of the Democrats, Biden is now pushing for radical reform of the U.S. Supreme Court, which they believe is too conservative thanks to former President Donald Trump.
According to The Washington Post, Biden is gearing up to endorse sweeping changes to the high court, including implementing term limits and establishing an “enforceable code of ethics.” It’s worth noting that Biden’s call for reform conveniently comes after the Supreme Court’s immunity ruling in favor of Trump, causing a complete meltdown within the Democratic Party.

Biden seems particularly fixated on the court’s ability to determine presidential immunity. The Washington Post reports that he is considering calling for a constitutional amendment to eliminate broad immunity for presidents and other constitutional officeholders. But let’s be honest, Biden and his administration are well aware that they lack the power to push through such profound and anti-constitutional changes.
It’s quite clear that this move is nothing more than a desperate attempt to drum up support and votes. With Biden knowing that his chances of re-election are slim, he’s grasping at straws. The liberals have long complained about the conservative makeup of the Supreme Court, particularly when rulings don’t align with their agenda. Now, Biden is using their discontent as a ploy to divert attention from his failing campaign.
Unsurprisingly, Biden’s thoughts on reforming the Supreme Court have sparked plenty of criticism across social media. People are quick to point out that he’s only pushing this agenda because he’s panicking about his re-election prospects. Additionally, many find it hypocritical that Biden, who spent 36 years in the Senate, suddenly wants term limits for Supreme Court Justices.
Ultimately, it’s highly unlikely that Biden will succeed in his efforts to reform the Supreme Court. This is merely a political stunt to generate headlines and distract from his campaign’s failures. Conservative Americans see through this desperate move, and it won’t sway their support.
