In a move that has conservative Republicans shaking their heads, President Biden has announced $200 million in pre-approved funds for Ukraine. Seriously, Joe? Ukraine? We’ve got plenty of problems right here at home that could use that money.
But that’s not all. Biden also mentioned that the U.S. will continue to supply Ukraine with weapons and equipment. Now, don’t get me wrong, I support our allies and want to see them defended. But shouldn’t we be focusing on securing our own borders and taking care of our own people first?
I mean, just look at the state of our own country. We’ve got skyrocketing inflation, a crisis on our southern border, and a national debt that’s through the roof. And yet, Biden thinks it’s a good idea to send $200 million to Ukraine? It’s mind-boggling.

Now, I know the Democrats love to talk about how important it is to support Ukraine in their fight against Russia. But let’s be real here. How long has this conflict been going on? And what has all of our support accomplished so far? It’s time to reassess our priorities and start focusing on what’s best for America.
But of course, there are some Republicans who are eager to jump on the Ukraine bandwagon. Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio seems to think that more border security is a prerequisite for providing aid to Ukraine. And you know what? He’s absolutely right. We need to take care of our own backyard before we start writing checks to foreign countries.
Even House Speaker Mike Johnson, who had a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed skepticism about Ukraine’s ability to win. And can you blame him? We’ve been pouring money into Ukraine for years, and yet the conflict rages on. Maybe it’s time to admit that our support isn’t making a difference.
In the end, this move by Biden just shows how out of touch he is with the needs of the American people. We don’t need to be sending more money and weapons overseas. We need to be focusing on the issues that are affecting us right here at home. It’s time for a reality check, Mr. President.
