In a disastrous move that has further exemplified the incompetence of the Biden administration, it has been revealed that roughly $2 billion in aid has been sent to the Taliban-controlled Afghan government following the chaotic withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan. Samantha Power, the head of the USAID, shamelessly boasted about these ongoing handouts. It’s bad enough that Biden left behind billions of dollars worth of weapons and armaments for the Taliban, but now we’re pouring even more taxpayer dollars into their hands. This is the latest in a string of failures from a president who seems determined to make everything worse.

The fact that the Biden administration is proud to be the largest humanitarian donor to Afghanistan is laughable. It’s like bragging about being the biggest sucker in the room. The Taliban continues to commit atrocities, such as arresting aid workers for “propagating and promoting Christianity,” and yet we’re still giving them money. This is not only morally repugnant, but it’s also a failure of leadership and a betrayal of American values.

It’s clear that Biden’s decision to withdraw from Afghanistan without a plan has had disastrous consequences. The Taliban is emboldened, our allies are disillusioned, and American citizens are left stranded. This is not the actions of a competent and strong leader, but rather the bumbling of a man who is clearly in over his head. It’s time for the American people to demand better and hold this administration accountable for their failures. We deserve leaders who will put America first and make decisions based on what’s best for the American people, not on political expediency.
