In a speech at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, President Joe Biden tried to convince the American people that his so-called “Bidenomics” is a success. He touted various economic statistics, claiming that the American economy grew 4.9% in the last quarter and that more people are in the workforce than ever before. He also mentioned that inflation has decreased by 65% and median household wealth has grown by 37% since before the pandemic. However, despite what Biden is seeing, Americans are not feeling the same way.
Biden Thinks Americans Living from Pay-Check to Pay-Check Are ‘Disconnected’ From Reality…

According to a September YouGov poll, only 16% of Americans believe the economy is getting better, while 56% say it is getting worse. These numbers clearly contradict Biden’s claims of a successful economy. Furthermore, 61% of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck and 75% think the economy is in a “fair” or “poor” state. It seems that the majority of Americans are not experiencing the economic prosperity that Biden is touting.
The White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, and other Democrats have been trying to promote Bidenomics as a success, but the American people are not buying it. The term “Bidenomics” has become synonymous with inflation, unemployment, and soaring gas prices, which are all contributing to the public’s dissatisfaction with the current state of the economy. Democratic representatives have acknowledged that the White House needs to do a better job of framing their economic policies in a way that benefits the people, rather than focusing on branding it after Biden himself.
It is clear that there is a disconnect between the economic statistics that Biden is presenting and how the American people feel about their own financial situation. The American people are not seeing or feeling the supposed economic success that Biden is claiming. Instead, they are experiencing the negative effects of inflation, high unemployment, and a struggling economy. It is time for the Biden administration to acknowledge these concerns and take real action to address the economic issues facing the American people.
