Ah, the old “Republicans want to cut your Social Security and Medicare” trope. It’s like a broken record that the Democrats just can’t put away. But here they go again, trotting it out like it’s a new hit single. Joe Biden and his team are spreading this nonsense around, claiming that extreme Republicans want to hand out giveaways to the wealthy while cutting Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. What a load of malarkey!

But guess what? It’s actually Biden and his Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) who are targeting Medicare Advantage, a program that benefits seniors. Talk about projection! CMS recently announced a proposed reduction in the Medicare Advantage base payment rate for 2025. That’s right, they want to take away even more from seniors.
Now, they’ll try to tell you that there won’t be any cuts, but let’s be real here. The proposed reduction to the base payment rate is a definite cut, unlike the potential adjustments that insurers might see based on coding and enrollees’ health conditions. Oh, and by the way, this reduction is all thanks to the changes to the risk adjustment coding system that the Biden administration initiated last year. You know, the one that supposedly aimed to “claw back” overpayments. Yeah, because that sounds like a great plan.
But here’s the kicker. The ultimate goal for Biden and his cronies is to get everyone, not just seniors, onto government-controlled Medicare-for-All plans. They’ve already cut nearly $5 billion in funding for Medicare Advantage, and this is just the beginning. They want complete control over our healthcare, because that’s always worked out so well in the past, right?
Medicare Advantage covers a majority of eligible seniors now, with 51 percent enrolled in the program. So any detrimental move by CMS could affect a lot of people. Luckily, a bipartisan group of senators, including some surprising names like Ted Cruz and Joe Manchin, are standing up for Medicare Advantage. They’re demanding payment and policy stability to protect this critical choice for Medicare beneficiaries.
But let’s face it, when the Biden team is involved, you can never be too sure. They’ve shown time and time again that they’re more interested in pushing their far-left agenda than actually looking out for the American people. So, seniors, hang on tight and keep a close eye on what they’re trying to do to your Medicare. These politicians can’t be trusted with your healthcare.
