The recent YouGov/Yahoo News poll has revealed some shocking news for President Joe Biden. Support for him and former President Donald Trump is now tied at 44%. This is a drastic change from August, where Biden had a six-point lead. The Democrats must be sweating and scrambling to find a replacement for their floundering president.
Texas Senator Ted Cruz, always one step ahead, has suggested that former First Lady Michelle Obama could swoop in and take Biden’s spot as the nominee. In his podcast “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” he warned his listeners of the “most likely and most dangerous” scenario. He claimed that in 2024, the Democrat kingmakers would ditch Biden and parachute in Michelle Obama.
Cruz believes that the media turning against Biden is a sign of the rising odds of Michelle Obama making her grand entrance in August 2024. If this happens, Cruz warns that it should “scare the hell out of anyone who is unhappy about the direction this country is going.” He sees Michelle Obama as the savior who can bring unity to the Democrats. According to him, she has the power to rise above all the contenders and declare, “Hey, we’re not picking among any of you. You guys can all fight it out next time, you’re all on the same level. We’re coming.”

Conservative filmmaker Ami Horowitz shares similar thoughts. He pointed to a survey that found two-thirds of Democrats believe Biden is too old to serve another term. That’s a clear indication that the Democrats are searching for someone younger and more capable. And who better to fill that role than Michelle Obama?
But hold on, folks. Michelle Obama isn’t the only name in the game. Some have suggested that California Governor Gavin Newsom could also be a contender. Former Obama advisor David Axelrod believes that if the president decides not to run, Newsom would be sorely tempted to enter the race. Newsom is young and politically muscular, qualities that the Democrats may be desperately seeking after the lackluster performance of Biden.
It seems like the Democrats have a tough decision to make. Will they stick with Biden, despite poll numbers that are clearly not in his favor? Or will they turn to Michelle Obama or Gavin Newsom in their desperate attempt to salvage their sinking ship? Only time will tell, but one thing is for sure: the conservatives are watching closely, ready to pounce on any missteps or foolish choices made by the Democrats.
