Biden to Discuss Veteran Toxic Exposure Law in Nashua, Celebrates 1M Claims Approved

President Joe Biden is set to discuss the SFC Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act, or PACT Act, in Nashua, New Hampshire at 1:30 p.m. The PACT Act, enacted in August 2022, aims to provide more benefits and care for toxic-exposed veterans. The president will highlight that over 1 million claims have been approved under this law.

This issue hits close to home for Biden, as his late son, Beau, tragically passed away from brain cancer, which the president believes was caused by burn pits. Following his speech in Nashua, President Biden will travel to Boston.

Despite the president’s efforts in New Hampshire, the state is unlikely to be a battleground in the upcoming election, with Cook Political Report listing it as “likely D” and a January poll from Marist College showing Biden ahead by 3 percentage points against former President Donald Trump.
