Biden Wants to Throw Another $10 Billion Ukraine’s Way!

Joe Biden is reportedly planning to ask Congress for a massive $10 billion aid package for Ukraine. This comes as Ukraine is still fighting against Russia and NATO countries and the US have pledged even more support. The Department of Defense is currently working on creating this funding package, which will be used to replenish American weapon supplies. The US has already provided over $110 billion in aid to Ukraine, despite voters expressing their discomfort with sending more taxpayer dollars to the country. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy believes that future Ukraine funding should go through the normal appropriations process instead of being included in a supplemental package.

The news of this aid request has sparked debate among lawmakers. In July, 70 House Republicans voted to cut off funding for Ukraine, while Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has called for more aid to be sent. Republican Senator Rand Paul took issue with the idea of borrowing money from China to send to Ukraine, stating that it doesn’t make fiscal sense. He also warned that the US is running out of resources in the Ukraine war with Russia, and continuing to provide aid may not be the best course of action.

Overall, this news highlights the ongoing debate over US involvement and financial support for Ukraine. While Biden and some lawmakers believe that aid is necessary to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia, others argue that the US should prioritize its own resources and limit its financial contributions.
