In a recent turn of events, the White House and President Joe Biden’s 2024 campaign are shrugging off concerns about the increasing pro-Gaza protests directed at the president’s political events. Poor ol’ Biden couldn’t even talk about restoring federal abortion protections at a rally in Virginia without being interrupted by folks hollering for him to pressure Israel about its Gaza offensive. And that’s not all! In January, protesters heckled him at an event in Charleston, South Carolina. Somebody needs to get those protesters a hobby, or better yet, a job!

As if one interruption wasn’t enough, the protesters at the Virginia rally took things up a notch with a whopping 13 disruptions! Talk about determined! The White House press secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, as well as John Kirby, were bombarded with questions about these protesters during a White House press briefing. They tried to brush it off by saying Biden supports the right to peaceful protest. But come on, how can anyone focus on their speech with all that ruckus going on?
And get this, the Biden campaign is playing a little round of “Pin the Blame on Trump” by suggesting that Democrats will eventually get behind the president when reminded of former President Donald Trump’s plans to ban Arab and Muslim immigration to the U.S. They’re painting Biden as the hero who respects the people’s First Amendment rights, unlike those pesky Republicans who apparently don’t know a thing about peaceful protest. Give me a break!
Looks like the Biden camp is trying to spin this mess in their favor, claiming that ol’ Joe is handling the Middle East with “wisdom, judgment, and experience.” But let’s be real, it’s all just a big ol’ mix of pity and hogwash!
