During a recent trip to Vietnam, Joe Biden found himself in a moment of reflection as he honored his late friend and Senate colleague, John McCain. Biden approached the memorial dedicated to McCain and showed his affection by planting a kiss on it. It’s clear that the bond between Biden and McCain was strong and went beyond party lines.

But, leave it to Biden to bring a little excitement to the solemn occasion. As he leaned in to pay his respects, Biden accidentally stepped on a nearby flowerbed. Oops! I guess even the President can’t always watch his step.
It’s worth noting that Biden and McCain were both members of the U.S. Senate for many years. They may have had their differences, but they also found common ground on various issues. It’s refreshing to see politicians from different parties working together, unlike some of the divisive characters we have today.
Now, let’s take a moment to imagine if a conservative Republican had made the same misstep as Biden. The liberal media would be in an uproar, claiming it was a deliberate act of disrespect. But when Biden does it, they’re quick to give him a pass. It’s clear that there’s a double standard at play here.
But let’s not dwell on the flowerbed incident. Instead, let’s remember John McCain for his service to our country and the friendship he shared with Biden. It’s a reminder that even in the world of politics, we can find moments of unity and respect.
