In June of 2022, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned about President Biden’s physical and mental stamina during an interview on CNN. Unsurprisingly, Jean-Pierre brushed off the question, laughing it off as unworthy of consideration and insisting that she “can’t even keep up with” the president and his busy schedule. Fast forward to the following summer, and Jean-Pierre is still peddling the same old story, this time again on CNN, claiming, “It is hard for us to keep up with this president,” even daring to repeat the obvious lie that nobody finds believable. As if that’s not enough, now that Biden is even older, a staggering 86% of voters believe he’s too long in the tooth for the job. And surprise, surprise, the Special Counsel’s report only reaffirmed what many people already suspected about Biden’s cognitive faculties. We’ve all seen the confused gaffes, the baffling moments, and the clear signs of someone who’s, well, getting on in years.
In a feeble attempt to deflect from these concerns, Jean-Pierre has resorted to quoting Biden’s wife, who apparently claims that the president’s daily schedule is chock-full of one grueling hour after another. But let’s be real here, folks. When you take a peek at the president’s schedule, it’s nothing to write home about. Even on a regular Tuesday in an election year, it’s not exactly action-packed. And to add insult to injury, the White House made the conscious decision to have Biden skip the traditional pre-Super Bowl interview for the second year in a row. It’s a move that even veteran Democratic operative James Carville called out, saying it’s a sign that the staff doesn’t have much confidence in old Joe.

Now, onto the big game itself. The Super Bowl broadcast became the most-watched television program in American history, with a whopping 123.4 million average viewers across platforms. It’s truly mind-boggling to think that the White House didn’t seize this opportunity to showcase Biden and reassure Americans of his fitness for the job. It’s almost like they were doing their best to avoid any unnecessary risks. The fact that they stuck with this decision speaks volumes about their concerns regarding Biden’s mental acuity and age.
And to top it all off, even Jon Stewart, known for his liberal antics, couldn’t help but notice the elephant in the room, roasting both Donald Trump and Joe Biden on The Daily Show. He poked fun at Democrats’ efforts to paint Biden as sharp and in command, pointing out the obvious concerns that voters shouldn’t have to silence. It’s the candidate’s job to address these doubts, not the voters’ job to ignore them. As Biden’s aides dodge questions about releasing the Special Counsel interview transcripts or recordings, it’s becoming increasingly clear that there’s more to this story than meets the eye. It’s time to stop dancing around the issue and start asking the tough questions. The American people deserve to know the truth.
