In a hilarious turn of events, it seems like the Biden administration is having a bit of trouble explaining their contradiction on the border wall. Remember when Democrats were losing their minds over former President Donald Trump’s efforts to build a wall on the southern border? They called Trump and his supporters all sorts of names, like xenophobic and racist. But now, under President Biden, it seems they’re a little confused about where they stand on the issue.

The Biden administration recently announced that they will be waiving more than two dozen federal laws in order to continue construction on the wall in South Texas. Wait a minute…didn’t Biden say walls don’t work? Well, looks like his actions don’t match his words once again. This contradiction put White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre in quite the pickle during a press briefing. A reporter pointed out the recent announcement and asked who is right, the DHS secretary or the President. Jean-Pierre tried to tap dance her way around the question, claiming that the announcement was from six months ago. Nice try, but the reporter wasn’t buying it and pointed out that the waiving of the federal laws to allow construction was new.

So what’s the deal here? It seems like the Biden administration is trying to have it both ways. They’re going to continue building the wall while also saying that it’s a bad idea. Talk about mixed messaging. It’s like they’re saying, “Hey, we’re going to do what Trump did, but we’re not going to admit that it’s a good idea.” It’s pretty comical, really. But let’s not forget that Biden and his team have yet to offer any meaningful solutions to address illegal immigration. So while they try to save face by sticking to their anti-wall stance, they’re actually just making themselves look even more foolish in the process. Classic Biden.
