Once again, the White House has shown its true colors by violating the First Amendment rights of Americans. And this time, they’re not just guilty of digital or social media censorship, but they’ve gone as far as banning books! Can you believe it?
House Rep. Jim Jordan, a true hero fighting for justice, has exposed the Biden administration’s unconstitutional activity in a thrilling thread on the social media platform X. According to internal documents subpoenaed by the Judiciary Committee, it has been revealed that the Biden White House pressured Amazon to censor books that expressed views they didn’t approve of. Talk about interfering with free speech!
One of the key players in this disturbing game is none other than Andy Slavitt, a senior Biden White House official who has already made a name for himself by demanding Facebook censor a meme and true information. This power-hungry individual was simultaneously pressuring Amazon to do their bidding. Is there no end to their thirst for control?
The White House used keyword searches to identify books that didn’t align with their narrative, such as those discussing vaccines. When they didn’t like the search results, they promptly emailed Amazon to express their displeasure. Can you believe the nerve? They even considered manually intervening to censor books but decided against it because they were afraid of conservative media criticism. It’s clear that they care more about appearances than the rights of American citizens.
In a meeting with the White House, Amazon was put on the spot. They were asked whether the books should be banned or simply buried deep in search results. The fact that Amazon even entertained this meeting shows that they were feeling immense pressure from the Biden White House. And what did they do after the White House berated them for a week? They caved. That’s right, they caved to the pressure and enabled a “Do Not Promote” feature for books that questioned the effectiveness of vaccines. They also explored other ways to “reduce the visibility” of books that the White House disliked. This is censorship at its finest.
It’s truly astounding how the Biden administration is getting away with all of this without significant media coverage or consequences. If this had happened under any other president, it would have been a massive scandal. But under Biden, it’s just another day in the lawless administration. It’s about time we hold them accountable for their blatant disregard for the Constitution and the rights of American citizens.
