In a surprising turn of events, some in El Paso, Texas are voicing their support for former President Donald Trump, a trend that could spell trouble for the Democrats in the upcoming 2024 election.

One immigrant, Daniela Simental, who did not support Trump in 2016, is now considering throwing her support behind the former president due to her concerns about the current immigration situation. Simental expressed her frustration, stating, “It’s getting really bad with a lot of the people coming in. I want Trump back.” Her husband, Jaime Tacuba, echoed her sentiments, bluntly stating that “everything’s gone to s***” under the Biden administration. Additionally, Roy Rosales, another immigrant from Mexico, emphasized that many Mexican Americans are eagerly anticipating Trump’s potential return, blaming Biden for creating chaos. “Trump, he started rough. But now that you see it, when Biden came in, he messed everything up,” Rosales stated. “There are a lot of Mexican people looking forward to Trump.”
Border communities are feeling the pressure as illegal immigrant crossings reach record highs under the Biden administration, further fueling the frustration among immigrants and citizens alike. U.S. Customs and Border Protection data revealed that officials encountered the highest number of illegal immigrants in a single day on Monday, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
