In a scathing critique of the Biden administration, former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) acting secretary Chad Wolf has called out President Biden and current DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for deliberately creating chaos at the southern border. Wolf spoke out against the administration’s policies, saying that the US is facing the worst humanitarian and national security crisis along the southern border in our nation’s history. “This is the first administration of either political party to deliberately take steps to diminish the security along our southern border,” Wolf stated.

According to Wolf, the current border security system is “unrecognizable” compared to the policies of the Trump administration and even those of previous administrations. The Biden administration has implemented policies that effectively eliminate the border, such as mass-scale catch-and-release, which has allowed over 4.5 million illegal aliens, including 1.5 million known gotaways, to infiltrate our communities.

Wolf also pointed to the increase in known or suspected terrorists that have been apprehended at the border, showing that the current administration has turned a blind eye to national security concerns. And, alarmingly, the Mexican cartels seem to have taken hold of the border. Cartels are smuggling dreadfully potent Fentanyl across the border, which is now the leading cause of death among young Americans.
The Biden administration, however, insists that its plan is working as intended. The current border crisis is a product of President Biden’s open-border policy, which has only worsened due to his weak immigration enforcement. President Biden halted work on the border wall and ended the Remain in Mexico program, two policies that helped secure our border. Despite DHS’s claims, it’s clear the administration’s policies are not fixing this crisis. President Biden and his team must return to strong, America-first policies to secure our country’s borders and protect the safety of Americans.
