In a stunning display of hypocrisy, the Biden Administration has done a complete one-eighty on its stance regarding the border wall and deportations. Despite vehemently criticizing former President Trump’s border policies as inhumane and wasteful, the Biden team has suddenly realized the urgent need for a border wall and has announced the resumption of deportations to Venezuela.
It seems that the record numbers of migrants flooding across our southern border in recent weeks have finally opened the eyes of the Democrats. With red states taking the bold step of shipping these illegal aliens to Democrat-controlled “sanctuary cities,” the pressure has mounted on the Biden administration to take action. Even staunch allies like New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Eric Adams are urging the administration to stem the flow.
The Department of Homeland Security released a statement stating that the Venezuelan government had finally agreed to accept their citizens back, allowing for the resumption of deportations. While the exact start date and frequency of these flights remain undisclosed, it’s refreshing to see the Biden administration admitting that immigration laws must be enforced and those who cross the border unlawfully should be swiftly removed.
It’s worth noting that this reversal on deportations comes just months after Biden’s inauguration when he ordered a 100-day moratorium on deportations and rescinded a Trump-era policy prioritizing the arrest and removal of illegal aliens. The Biden administration’s flip-flopping on crucial immigration policies is causing confusion and chaos at the border, further proving their lack of a coherent plan.

But the border wall about-face takes the cake. After halting construction of Trump’s wall and even suing border states for building their own barriers, the Biden administration has finally admitted that there is an “urgent and pressing need” for a border wall in southern Texas. It’s fascinating how they went from labeling the wall a “waste of money” to acknowledging its necessity.
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who once claimed the southern border was “secure,” has now filed an official document stating that physical barriers and roads are essential to prevent unlawful entries into the US. It’s frustrating that it took them so long to realize what conservatives have been saying all along.
The Biden administration’s constant flip-flopping and lack of foresight regarding the border crisis is a prime example of their incompetence and lack of a coherent immigration policy. It’s clear they’re more interested in appeasing their far-left base than protecting American citizens and enforcing the law. It’s time for true leadership and a secure border.
