President Joe Biden’s border crisis continues to wreak havoc, and even members of his own Democratic Party are starting to turn against him. The latest critic is Chicago Alderman Raymond Lopez, who expressed his frustration with the lack of support from the Biden administration. In an interview with the Daily Caller, Lopez revealed that there has been “no communication” from the White House regarding the influx of migrants into his city. He even sent a letter to the President, pleading for his attention, but to no avail.
It seems that the Democrats are not even discussing the issue of migrant asylum seekers with their own party leaders. Lopez pointed out that during multiple talks about the Democratic National Convention, the topic never came up. It’s as if they are content to ignore the crisis and hope it magically disappears. But that’s not how problems get solved, especially when major cities like Chicago are being inundated with these individuals.

Chicago is spending a whopping $163 million to deal with the migrant crisis, while the Biden administration has only provided a measly $12 million in aid. This mismatch is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of understanding by the current administration. They need to step up and provide real support to cities like Chicago that are bearing the brunt of this crisis.
And it’s not just Chicago that is suffering. New York City’s Democratic Mayor Eric Adams also spoke out against the migrant crisis, warning that it will “destroy” the city. With a $12 billion deficit, New York City simply cannot afford the strain that this crisis is putting on its resources. Every service in the city will be impacted, and residents will feel the effects in their own neighborhoods. It’s a dire situation that requires urgent attention and action from the Biden administration.
President Biden was elected to lead this country, but so far, he has failed to address the border crisis adequately. It’s not enough to offer empty promises and vague statements. Real solutions and support are needed to ensure the safety and well-being of American cities and their residents. The Democrats who are speaking out against the President are right to do so. It’s time for Biden to step up and take responsibility for the mess he has created. The American people deserve better.
