Biden’s Border Enforcement Breakthrough: A Hard Line Against Lawlessness

America is finally seeing a government that remembers borders mean something and that enforcing our laws is not a partisan insult but a duty to the people who pay the bills and keep this country running. The new administration moved quickly to round up violent offenders and enforce removals that previous leaders only talked about, and conservative voices on the air praised that return to common-sense law enforcement. Rob Schmitt and his guests have been blunt: the American people elected a president to secure the country, and they expect those promises kept.

Make no mistake: the political left and their media allies are trying to rewrite history about who supported enforcement. Fifteen years ago many Democrats argued openly that mass lawlessness at the border was unacceptable and framed enforcement as a necessary tool of governance, and you can find that record in speeches from that era. Today’s screams of “fascism” from the same people who cheered enforcement when it suited them are hypocrisy so brazen it would be funny if the stakes weren’t so high.

The courts have become the latest battlefield, with liberal district judges issuing injunctions that slow or stop removals even when the Supreme Court tried to clear the way for the executive branch. One Boston judge even tried to defy the high court’s stay on a lower-court injunction, inserting himself into diplomatic efforts and keeping dangerous criminals on our soil — behavior conservatives rightly call activist overreach. If judges want to play politics from the bench, they should not be surprised when the people they endanger demand accountability.

When the Justice Department took the unprecedented step of suing an entire Maryland federal bench over a standing order that paused deportations, it wasn’t theater — it was necessary to defend the president’s constitutional authority to enforce immigration law. The DOJ’s escalation showed how far rogue judicial maneuvers had gone in obstructing public safety and undermining the rule of law, and that had to be met with forceful pushback. Patriots who value separation of powers should applaud a Justice Department that refuses to let district-court activism hollow out executive responsibility.

Meanwhile, left-wing mobs and professional protesters have filled the streets, chanting slogans that equate law enforcement with fascism while defending sanctuary for violent criminals. Their theatrical outrage — complete with handmaids, costumes and spectacle — reveals more about their performative politics than any real concern for public safety or for Americans who live near the consequences of open borders. Working families don’t want virtue signaling; they want police and ICE empowered to keep communities safe.

Hardworking Americans deserve leaders who put them first, not politicians who pander to radicals and then feign shock when the new administration actually enforces the law. We should back our agents, demand Congress close legal loopholes that left judges exploit, and remember which side stood for the rule of law when the choice mattered. If you believe in secure neighborhoods, honest enforcement, and national sovereignty, now is the time to stand tall and support the brave men and women doing the job.
