The suspect, Jose Ibarra, was arrested for her murder, along with his brother Diego for presenting a fake green card. Both brothers had entered the U.S. illegally, were released at different times, and were allowed to stay on pending asylum claims. Former President Trump and President Biden are both set to visit the border soon. While Biden is facing criticism for his handling of the border crisis and his refusal to take necessary executive actions, Trump is ready to bring back the successful policies that reduced illegal border crossings during his term, such as Remain in Mexico and building the border wall. It’s time to prioritize American safety and implement strong border security measures.
