In a stunning blow to the Biden administration’s censorship agenda, a federal appeals court has ruled that they likely violated the sacred First Amendment by pressuring social media platforms to remove posts about elections and the COVID-19 pandemic. Talk about a victory for free speech!
The Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans didn’t hold back in their decision, ordering the White House, the FBI, and the CDC to back off and stop “coercing” social media giants like Facebook and YouTube into silencing voices they don’t agree with. It’s about time someone stood up against this blatant abuse of power!
Now, hold your horses. The three judges on the panel, bless their hearts, were nominated by former President George W. Bush and the great President Donald Trump. Can you imagine the collective shudder running down the spines of the liberal elites? This is what happens when you have a balanced judiciary, folks.
The lower court judge wasn’t fooled by the Biden administration’s strong-arm tactics either. They ruled that officials illegally coerced these tech companies into censoring posts that dared to challenge the narrative on COVID and the 2020 election. Finally, someone is recognizing the dangerous collusion between big government and big tech!
But wait, there’s more! The appeals court went even further. They not only slapped down the censorship efforts but also made it clear that social media platforms should have the sole authority to make content-moderation decisions. It’s called personal responsibility, folks. Let these companies and their algorithms dictate what we can see and hear because they always have our best interests at heart, right?
Of course, the Biden administration isn’t taking this loss lightly. They’re probably whining like a bunch of sore losers, calling it a setback for public health and safety. But let’s be honest here, it’s a massive win against censorship, totalitarianism, and Biden’s overreach. Kudos to Attorney General Jeff Landry and Missouri AG Andrew Bailey for standing up against this blatant infringement on our First Amendment rights.
