Cuellar, a Democrat himself, spilled the beans to CNN’s Jake Tapper, revealing that the Biden administration is terrified of upsetting their immigration advocates. Well, it’s no surprise that they would prioritize the feelings of extremist activists over the safety and security of American citizens.
Cuellar also pointed out that Democrat-controlled cities can no longer ignore the disastrous consequences of the border crisis. Thanks to Biden’s lax border policies, tens-of-thousands of illegal aliens have been shipped right into cities like New York, Chicago, and Philadelphia. Suddenly, those liberal politicians who turned a blind eye to the border crisis are realizing what conservative Americans have been warning about for years. It’s about time they step up and demand border control.
But here’s the kicker: Cuellar believes that the Biden administration should focus more on deportations rather than completing the border wall. And you know what? He’s absolutely right. Deportations send a powerful message to potential border crossers that there are consequences to their actions. We need to put an end to this notion that every illegal alien has a free pass to live and work in our country without consequences. It’s time to enforce our laws and protect our border.
Cuellar’s frustration is shared by the border communities, especially those with high Hispanic populations like his own district, which is 80% Hispanic. These communities want the border controlled for the sake of their safety and the well-being of their families. It’s time for the Biden administration to listen to the voices of these Americans instead of cowering in fear of their radical base.
While Cuellar acknowledges that the situation at the border has improved under Biden, he emphasizes the need for further improvement. We can’t settle for mediocrity when it comes to border security. The safety and sovereignty of our nation should always be a top priority.
