According to internal Energy Department calendars obtained by Americans for Public Trust and shared with Fox News, Granholm had multiple conversations with China National Energy Administration Chairman Zhang Jianhua just days before the Biden administration announced the decision to tap into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR). It is believed that they discussed the release of oil from the SPR, and this information may have been shared with China before it was made public.
This revelation raises questions about the extent of Chinese influence on the Biden administration’s energy policies and the transparency of these discussions. American citizens deserve to know if Chinese officials are attempting to infiltrate US energy policy and security. It’s alarming that Granholm, instead of focusing on creating energy independence for America, has been busy parroting Chinese energy propaganda.
