The Israel-Hamas conflict has been giving President Joe Biden quite a headache as he struggles to cater to his own party’s ever-so-slightly-less-than-warm feelings towards the Jewish state. It’s like trying to balance a hippo on a unicycle; a near impossible feat. The liberal media is having a field day with NBC News taking a jab at the White House interns’ demands for a Middle East cease-fire, because, let’s face it, who wouldn’t want to stir that pot?

These White House interns penned a letter to Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, putting their anti-Israel views on full display. They even had the audacity to blame Israel for certain tragedies in the U.S. Like, come on, can you be any more outlandish? The letter didn’t just stop at demanding a cease-fire, it also screeched about releasing Palestinian prisoners and ending the so-called “illegal occupation” and “apartheid.” It’s like they threw in every anti-Israel buzzword they could think of just to fill up space.
And get this, these brave interns, who refused to even sign their names, labeled themselves with titles like “Palestinian, Jewish, Arab, Muslim, Christian, Black, Asian, Latine [sic], White, and Queer.” It’s like a buzzword bonanza! But here’s the kicker: they didn’t have the guts to call out Hamas for their despicable acts. Typical, right? Can’t really expect much accountability from folks who won’t even sign their own name.
Thankfully, not everyone at the White House has lost their marbles. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby set the record straight, making it crystal clear that Israel isn’t the one committing genocide – it’s actually Hamas. And let’s not forget National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who called out Hamas for refusing to release female hostages and causing the end of the previous cease-fire. See? There are still some voices of reason in the mix.
But the interns’ shenanigans aren’t the only form of rebellion against Biden’s support for Israel. Over 500 political appointees hit Biden with a similar letter, and surprise, surprise, they also decided to keep their names hush-hush. It’s like a game of hide and seek with these guys. Not to mention, the pressure from the progressive wing of the party and the TikTok influencers (yeah, you heard that right) isn’t doing Biden any favors. The poor guy’s being pulled in more directions than a kite in a hurricane.
It’s no secret that the interns and their cohorts aren’t exactly thrilled with Biden’s handling of the Israel situation, and the pressure is going to his head. He’s flip-flopping more than a fish out of water, expressing a ceasefire here, supporting a crackdown on Israel there. It’s all a bit of a mess, and the American people aren’t too impressed either.
A recent survey from Yahoo!/YouGov revealed that most Americans think Biden is about as useful as a chocolate teapot when it comes to taking charge of the situation. And let’s face it, they might have a point. All this back and forth isn’t doing the President’s image any favors. So, where does that leave us? Still tangled up in this mess, waiting for someone to grab the wheel like a responsible adult. But hey, maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
