Syracuse University and the University of Delaware are scrambling to gain the honor of housing President Joe Biden’s future presidential library. The president, in a rare moment of coherence, brought up the topic during a lengthy chat with special counsel Robert Hur last October. Of course, the transcript of the conversation was leaked in classic swampy fashion and made public on Tuesday. Biden, who apparently has forgotten the ins and outs of the presidency, mentioned that both universities are itching to host his library. It’s like a game of presidential fact or fiction, folks. Biden spent his college years bouncing between the two schools in the 1960s, finally scoring a degree from the University of Delaware in ’65 before swiftly moving on to snag a juris doctor from Syracuse in ’68.

The president mused about the library during his chat with Hur, twirling his imaginary presidential mustache and revealing that first lady Jill Biden had nudged him to start pondering the library’s placement after a visit to the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum in Missouri. Perhaps the president thought he was at the zoo, eyeing different enclosures for the library lions, but who can really say for sure?
In an attempt to remind everyone that former President Barack Obama exists, the article notes that his library is under construction in the liberal stronghold of Chicago and is set to open in 2026. Of course, there’s no solid plan for a library for former President Donald Trump, because why would the liberal elites want a shrine to the man who made them so grumpy? The Washington Examiner, ever the intrepid truth-seeker, has reached out to both universities for comment. Let’s hope they are brave enough to respond in the face of such liberal fervor.
