It seems that the current administration’s open-arms approach has attracted hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans looking for a way into the United States. Forget political oppression or economic collapse; the real appeal lies in the idea that America is a welcome mat for anyone seeking a fresh start—or an easy way in.
As Venezuela continues to spiral into chaos, with shortages of basic necessities and rampant government corruption, it appears that many citizens have collectively decided to pack their bags and look for greener pastures. Who can blame them? But rather than taking a hard look at the disastrous policies of the Venezuelan government, many of these emigrants have their sights set on the Biden administration’s lax immigration policies as the golden ticket to a better life. Just like that, the stars aligned, and suddenly, America became the ultimate escape route.
